12th Annual Chess & Community Conference – Event Overview Join us for the 12th Annual Chess & Community Conference, a youth-led, family-friendly event designed to inspire, educate, and connect our community! 📍 Location: Classic Center, Athens, Georgia 🗓 Date: March 29, 2025 🚪 Doors Open: 9:00 AM This unique conference brings together students, parents, and community leaders for a day filled with thought-provoking discussions, exciting competitions, and interactive learning experiences. Event Highlights: 🎤 Speaking Program (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM) Student winners will read their powerful essays. Inspiring keynote speakers will share their wisdom and experiences. ♟️ Chess with Police Officers & the Sheriff’s Department (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM) Watch as students challenge law enforcement in friendly but competitive matches, fostering dialogue and connection. 🤖 Chess & Robotics Competitions (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM) Students will showcase their strategic thinking and technical skills in head-to-head chess and robotics battles. This marks our 12th year hosting this impactful event, and it’s truly one for the books!
